A note from the Executive Director
Our Story
Sex education has always been a passion of mine. A few years ago, I launched a podcast with co-host Jenna Brink, focused on honest, accessible conversations about relationships and sexuality. As I built Aspire Workforce, LLC, it became clear that the individuals we served, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DDs), were being left out of those essential conversations. That realization sparked the development of a curriculum designed specifically for the I/DD community. What began as an extension of our podcast soon evolved into a comprehensive, trauma-informed program. Today, as Boundaries & Beyond, our mission is to empower adults with I/DD to build healthy relationships, understand sexual safety, and live with greater confidence, autonomy, and connection.

Mission
At Boundaries & Beyond, we empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to make informed choices about their bodies, relationships, and lives.
We offer comprehensive, inclusive, and LGBTQIA2S+ affirming education about sex and relationships. Our classes are designed to be accessible and flexible, meeting the communication and learning needs of every participant.
Vision
We imagine a world where all adults with I/DD are:
-
Recognized as whole, autonomous individuals
-
Respected for their right to love, learn, and choose
-
Equipped with the knowledge and confidence to build safe, healthy, and affirming relationships
In this world, sex education is inclusive, celebrates diversity, and is available to everyone.
